City of Douglass Hills

Like many neighborhoods in Louisville, Douglass Hills has signs marking the main entrances to the subdivision. At the Shelbyville Road entrance is located the Charlestown Apartment complex with some condo units immediately behind.

There are a good mix of ranch and two-story homes. Ranches, like this one, are typically in the 1700-1800 sq. ft. range.

Most of the neighborhood contains some very beautiful trees and foliage. One portion of the neighborhood was struck by the tornado of 1973 so trees in this section are somewhat smaller.

Douglass Hills has its own clubhouse with swimming pool, tennis courts and playground. It's located directly behind Crosby Middle School, which is a convenient option for families with children of this age.

Homes in this neighborhood are generally great values, especially when you consider the proximity of the subdivision to shopping and other attractions.
