Homes that exist outside a specific subdivision could be all manor of size, style and price. But if you had select the most popular, it would be the 1,200 sq. ft. ranch like you see pictured at the left.

These ranches were extremely popular during the 60s and 70s. Many are still in great condition today, if you know where to look.

Even though this area is home to many of the nation's largest chains, there are some small town shopping options in the heart of J-Town.

The landmark clock at the corner of Taylorsville Road and Watterson Trail is quite familiar to the town's locals.

Newer neighborhoods exist with the city of Jeffersontown. You can still find new construction, as well as, recently developed subdivsions. The home you see here is only 12 years old.

J-Town is home to some beautiful terrain and while there is a certain uniformity to certain subdivisions, throughout Jeffersontown you'll be able to find almost all manner of housing options.

There are even gorgeous, Florida-style stucco homes, even if they're not extremely common.
