Shakes Run

Here you see the signature entry into Shakes Run subdivision. This neighborhood has a great deal of green space set aside permanently not be used for home lots.

Homes in Shakes Run are more about beautiful finishes that bulky square footage. Both on the outside of the home and inside, I've found these homes to be finely crafted from a design perspective.

New homes are designed a bit smaller footprint. Above grade square footage runs from 2,000 up to 3,000, which is dip in the trend from recent years. What these homes may lack in size they more than make up for in beauty.

There's a good amount of home style variation in this neighborhood as well. Check out this adorable farmhouse.

Lot sizes are mostly on the small side but because there is so much green space for the walking paths, it doesn't feel cramped. The development is slated to have 450 total lots.

Though the neighborhood is more suburban, it's located in a more rural location a couple miles south of Shelbyville Road but still in Jefferson County.

Here you see the clubhouse from the back. Because of the sunny day, you can't tell that the deluxe indoor pool is located just inside that portion on the right.

Look at this beautiful lake! Homes wrap around the right side with sidewalks all the way around.
